Health in Practice provides practical health education workshops for professionals who care for others. These workshops are designed for nonprofits, behavioral health agencies, schools, hospitals, senior care communities, and other care-centered organizations whose staff spend their days supporting others.
Rather than offering vague wellness programming, Health in Practice focuses on realistic strategies people can actually use in real life.
Health in Practice is designed for organizations and teams in high-stress, care-centered roles, including:
Fueling Through the Workday
Practical nutrition for busy professionals in high-stress roles, including protein and fiber basics, hydration, meal ideas, and realistic strategies for eating well during demanding workdays.
Body Reset for High-Stress Jobs
A practical workshop focused on posture, movement, and decompression for professionals who carry stress in their bodies and work in physically and emotionally demanding environments.
Healthy Habits That Actually Stick
A workshop focused on sustainable health habits for real life, including consistency, realistic exercise, and routines that support energy, recovery, and well-being.
The Practical Health Intensive
A 4-hour blended training that combines nutrition, movement, posture, decompression, and sustainable health habits into one practical, interactive experience for teams and organizations.
*Additional formats are also available, including shorter staff sessions, virtual options, and staff meeting add-ons.
Health in Practice was created to offer something more practical than generic wellness programming. The focus is not on idealized routines or one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, workshops are built around the realities of demanding work and the people doing it.
The goal is to help staff feel better, function better, and care for themselves in ways that are useful, realistic, and respectful of the work they do every day.
Health in Practice is committed to supporting both the people doing the caring and, when possible, the communities they serve. Through its give-back model, Health in Practice sets aside limited complimentary workshops for selected nonprofit organizations and includes optional community-support resources through select services.
I created Health in Practice to offer practical health education for professionals who care for others. My background includes a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, more than 10 years of experience in nutrition, fitness, and health education, trauma-informed workshop experience, and current work in behavioral health while completing my MSW.
If you’re interested in workshops for your staff, organization, or caregiver community, I’d be happy to connect and discuss what may be the best fit.
